Our founder, David Reynolds, has had a distinguished career in law enforcement. He brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record in tackling complex cases and achieving targeted results.


David Reynolds has had an illustrious career in law enforcement, working his way up from a patrol officer at his alma mater, Indiana University, to working as a detective at the Porter County Sheriff’s Office. David later worked for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in Chicago, Illinois as a Special Agent, Supervisory Special Agent, and Inspector. 


David is dedicated to continuously enhancing his knowledge and skills. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Indiana University. After nearly 20 years in law enforcement, he completed a Master of Science in Law Enforcement and Public Safety at the University of San Diego to take his knowledge and experience to the next level.

Drug Enforcement Administration – Chicago, IL 

Supervisory Special Agent, Inspector

  • Conducted inspections of domestic and foreign Drug Enforcement Administration (“DEA”) offices related to financial, confidential, and investigative policies
  • Conducted internal investigations of DEA personnel related to purported policy violations
  • Developed and presented training to DEA management regarding best practices and guidance regarding DEA compliance requirements
  • Investigated and authored investigative reports regarding agent and officer-involved shootings and critical incidents

Supervisory Special Agent, Group Supervisor 

  • Collaborated with federal and state prosecutors, agencies, and other stakeholders from investigation through sentencing
  • Led investigations targeting international transcontinental criminal organizations and violent street gangs, resulting in successful prosecutions and the seizure of thousands of kilograms of narcotics
  • Drafted and executed affidavits in support of search warrants, wiretaps, arrest warrants, tracking devices, and other court documents
  • Qualified as a drug and gang expert in federal court
  • Assisted in securing and distributing millions of dollars in federal funds seized during DEA enforcement actions.

Special Agent, 01/2005 - 01/2014 

  • Interviewed hundreds of targets, subjects, and witnesses
  • Testified in dozens of state and federal criminal cases. Qualified as a drug and gang expert in federal court
  • Served as a Peer Trauma Team member to assist members of law enforcement and their families after a traumatic incident

  • Chicago High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Appreciation Award, 2021

  • Instructor of Gang and Drug Investigation Course in Brazil, 2019
